The fifth project stage: The guidebook

The guidebook on how to open a business and the long and narrow path to it are on display here. We have collected the presentations to address the steps necessary to follow when you want to open a business. These files will be the foundation of the guidebook, which was compiled at the fifth project meeting at Tegelviken (Eskilstuna) in Sweden.

The German team presented
the formal and legal aspects that need to be considered
the foundation of a business – text file on the different (financial) aspects on starting a business
and the marketing strategies helpful to get the business going – text file to describe the stages of marketing strategies.

The Italian team gave a comprehensive overview in one go,

while the Polish group showed how to register a business either at the community centre or online with the instructions as a pdf.

The fourth stage: Setting up a business – simulations of businesses in the four countries

After all the preparatory steps, we have reached the stage at which we are able to plan and simulate our own businesses. These were presented to the project group at the 4th project meeting at Leer.

The Suchy Las partner school held a competition, so that several businesses were simulated. The result was that not only the winner, but also the second place was presented at the Leer meeting.

The third stage: presentation of regional businesses and SWOT-analyses

At Tegelviken we presented some small businesses in the project schools’ regions, which are published in the following links:

Altogether, two businesses will have to be investigated and presented by each school, providing material as to how to found and run a business and being the base for SWOT analyses (for a power point presentation of the elements of  SWOT click here) to develop a sense of prospects of businesses. In addition to the SWOT anayses, we were informed about registring a business in Italy. The steps to take are briefly summarised in a pptx-presentation. The process for the permission of businesses is described in the presentation of SUAP, an agency provided by the municipality to unify the process of permits for the construction or start-up activities of the production of goods and offering services.

The second stage: summary of the findings

The first stage: investigation of the regions

For the first project stage, we decided to describe the regions of the four project schools. For this purpose, we looked into eight different categories:

1. Geographical position of the town and its hinterland I PL D
